The birth of Libasoun

“They are a garment for you and you are a garment for them.” Al-Baqarah, verse 187. The Arabic word is libasun — لِبَاسٌ. Clothing as mutual protection, as tenderness, as dignity.

We founded Libasoun as a couple, husband and wife. A brand carrying a verse about spouses could not have been born any other way.

We are building the brand from Morocco, where we select our ateliers — hands that have worked linen and cotton for generations, a few kilometres from the Strait of Gibraltar.

Small batches, careful finishing, short routes to Europe. No anonymous factory on the other side of the world.
